Description:
August Paveglio Quarry or Peninsula Quarry was purchased by August Paveglio from the original owner, Victor Johnson. The quarry was operated by Paveglio for about thirty-five years. The granite was sold at the Peninsula Marble and Stone Company in Iron Mountain, MI. The person in the picture is Alex Leonhardt.

The granite from the Paveglio quarry was made into gravestones and sold in Iron Mountain, Michigan. The original derrick from this quarry can be seen at the Amberg Museum.
