Description:
Plane consists of a wood block with a mortise cut across the center of the body to hold cutting blade. Cutting blade is held in place with a wood wedge. The long length of a jointer plane is designed for straightening the edges of boards. It is possible this tool was used in the building of the F. J. DeKelvers Exchange Hotel in the village of Pike.
