Molding planes were usually sold in matching pairs of hollow and round planes. This partial set includes a 1/4 inch, 5/16, 1/2, and a 11/4 inch hollow planes. The largest plane has a "16" stamped on the end with the "No. 180." Believed to have been originally used by father of John Beck.

The skilled carptenter of the past made his own molding to go around windows, doors, or cabinets using hand molding planes. These planes were sold in matching sets of hollow and round planes. This set only contains hollow planes that used shallow concave blades to make round moldings.
