Description:
Wind-up "Victrola" with wood cabinet consisting of two front doors and two storage shelves containing a record collection (see notes). There is a crank on the side to wind up the spring motor and a lid that covers the phonograph. Owned by Lisle and Eleanor Downing.

This might be considered the first CD player. It played a large plastic record. There is a crank on the side and the record player does not need any electric. What would be the advantage and disadvantages of using this rather than a modern CD player?
